Integrated Family Services
All families face challenges from time to time and some may occasionally need additional support.
Integrated Family Services (IFS) provides a range of caring and professional services to support parents-to-be and parents with children of all ages, through to 18 years of age.
IFS assists children, young people and families experiencing the impacts of multiple (or co-occurring) issues, which could include:
The primary aim of IFS is to build on family strengths and enhance parenting abilities, to strengthen parent-child relationships and maximise a child’s development opportunities. We aim to support parents to nurture and protect their children.
We work with families from all backgrounds and cultures and strive to engage parents in a way that is empowering and respectful of individual circumstances.
We work co-operatively with a range of partners to ensure this program can provide a coordinated service response depending on each family’s specific needs.
Consultation with community based child protection may be needed where there are serious concerns about children’s safety.
Integrated Family Services supports families in the cities of Yarra, Darebin, Banyule, Nillumbik, Whittlesea (North East Metro catchment), Hume and Moreland (Hume Moreland catchment).
